Basic Function: To enhance the quality of life of our residents through one-on-one interaction. Training to be a Certified Nursing Assistant with the assistance of CNAs and Nursing staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with resident personal care. Assist with dining room and feed residents. Assisting with daily one-on-one or small group activities with the residents. Pass waters and all needed supplies to residents such as briefs, underpants, wipes, soap, denture cups, etc. Transport residents to and from medical appointments. Answer call lights and assists residents as needed. Provide daily meal assistance passing of trays Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of resident and facility information. Endorsing comply with the vision, objective, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Take approved residents out for cigarette. Daily resident transportation to and from dining room and activities. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Education Required: High school education or GED preferred. Ability to read, speak and write English is also required for this position. On-site training will be provided. Experience Required: Previous long-term care experience helpful Prior experience working with the dementia resident preferred, and a genuine interest in the geriatric field is required. Additional Qualifications: Must be able to communicate with co-workers, residents, and the families of the residents. Dependable, prompt, tactful, patient, a desire to work with geriatric residents. Resident-focused at all times, while acting as a pleasant professional is essential. Task-centeredness, punctuality, and a pleasant demeanor are beneficial to successful performance in this position.
Responsibilities
Provide direct personal care and daily assistance to senior residents, including meal support and transportation. Support residents' quality of life through one-on-one interaction while training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
