Description Become a CNA at Westminster Westminster Canterbury Nurse Aide program will be holding a second class. The class is set to run March 23, 2026 - May 8, 2026 Every class is MANDATORY. The deadline to apply for this class is Friday, February 27, 2026. There is no cost for the class for current Westminster employees. For non-employee applicants, the course fee is $1,000.00. What can you expect? Mandatory Orientation on Friday, March 20, 2026 8-week training course, required days per week. 10 days of classroom education with daily test, quizzes, and a final written exam. 5 days Skills Lab, where you will learn in the skills lab to be a CNA and prepare you for your clinical experience. 5 days Clinical Experience, you will work the floors with our current CNAs and get hands-on experience in your new field. Graduation day Extra Prep days are scheduled to prepare you for taking your state board exam, as well as tips to help you interview and land the job you want. What is provided? All textbooks, workbooks, and handouts Access to online games, study guides, and test prep Background checks, drug screening, and TB testing ID Badge All equipment needed to perform the Skills Lab What do you need to provide? Solid black scrubs and non-slip shoes - to be worn on Skills Lab and Clinical days Notebook, pens, pencils, erasers, highlighters, markers; anything you wish to use to take notes and/or complete hand-written assignments. Access to a computer to be used for PowerPoint presentations and educational websites. Snacks, beverages, and food that you wish to consume during class time. Optional- a personal stethoscope, but the school will provide a stethoscope that can be used in class. This will be a fun, interactive and engaging class. You will learn skills in communications, ADL care, vital signs, CPR, and more. Our goal is to help you succeed in reaching your dreams. Once we receive your application, we will begin reaching out to set up an interview. We are open to discussing more details about the class and assisting you with working around your current working schedule. Responsibilities

This program trains participants to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) through an intensive 8-week course including classroom instruction, skills lab practice, and hands-on clinical experience on the floors. The goal is to prepare attendees for the state board exam and secure employment.
