JOB SUMMARY:

Esker Lodge Nursing Home in Cavan Town is currently recruiting Part-Time & Full-time Aux. Healthcare Assistants (day duty).
This is an excellent opportunity for committed caring individuals to develop skills and be provided with ongoing training and development within a supportive environment.
Working with an experienced team of health care professionals, candidates will be welcomed into a homely caring nursing home in an environment that promotes diversity and takes pride in its multi-cultural roots.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum QQI level 6 or higher
  • Ideally pre-registered nursing background
  • Experience in a nursing home or hospital
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively with residents, families, allied health care professionals, managers, auditors and inspectors
    Salary: Hourly rate €13.50 euros
    Hours per week: Part-time and Full-time hours available

  • Delivering compassionate person centred and holistic care to our residents
  • Supporting the nursing team and senior clinical management to achieve ongoing quality of care outcomes for our residents
  • Ensuring that residents’ holistic personal care, nutritional and hydration needs are met while promoting their dignity and independence
  • Successfully working within the regulatory guidelines to ensure that the highest possible standards of care are achieved on a daily basis
  • Supporting residents to engage in meaningful activities, assisting residents to mobilise using appropriate manual handling techniques and appropriate aides.
  • Any other duties as set out in the job description or as required by the nursing team and senior management
