Department: 34417 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Nursing Med Surg: 8 North Renal Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 24 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Part-time Night shift Rotating weekends Pay Range: $19.80 - $29.70 Nursing Assistant I (NA I) - North Renal Unit Winston Salem, NC, United States Where You Will Work: North Renal Unit: North Renal unit, (19 Beds) Our Renal Unit offers care to adult patients with renal disease. We provide specialized care for patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease (CKD), or end-stage renal disease (ESDR). You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to creating a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and empowers individuals to achieve their goals. Ambient Listening, voice activated documentation, is a tool used to record and transcribe patient-nurse conversations in real-time to generate automated flowsheet documentation. We’re Looking For: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of an applicable State Approved Nurse Aide I course required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. What You’ll Do: Participates in the implementation of the nursing process by giving direct care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). Performs special procedures correctly under the direction of Registered Nurse (RN). Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers, and facility. Ensures complete, accurate and timely communication of patient information. Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members in an effective, positive and professional manner. Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development. Provides age/developmental appropriate patient care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
