They provide info/education to a wide variety of disciplines across the province utilizing the motivational assessment process, the provincial addiction clinical model, DSM- 4R and the transtheoretical model of change to assist in the triaging of clients needing addiction services. Must be familiar with current drugs of abuse/withdrawal mgmt strategies as well as available provincial resources to assist Case Managers with identifying the most appropriate care plan for their clients. They are responsible to triage acute medical, psychiatric and detoxification issues and will provide nursing related workshops and education sessions to clients and other professionals. It will be required to provide support to brief and social detox programs, for the purpose of ensuring provision of service to clients, in situations that vary from normal course of business. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience * 1 year experience in a mental health setting.
