Position #: 199360 Expected Start Date: March 01, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Moose Jaw Special Care Home City/Town: Moose Jaw Department: Chronic Resident Unit Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Facility Managers, the Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service is provided to residents within SHA Moose Jaw Special Care Home. As an experienced practitioner, the resident care coordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, coordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the resident care team (including residents and residents’ families) within a collaborative environment. The routine procedures are generally predetermined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Minimum of three (3) years relevant long term care nursing experience Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training Nursing diploma is acceptable Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Demonstrates leadership skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to adapt to and implement change Ability to work as a member of a team Competent critical thinking/judgement/autonomous decision making capabilities Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to delegate appropriately.
