These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion. This position is for Seniors Mental Health. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Requires a minimum of three years experience in a community or acute mental health setting working with clients with severe and persistent mental illness. Education Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Licenses Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE) Current CPR certification Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Basic - Computer skills Basic - Organizational skills Basic - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to respond under pressure.
