This includes persons who may be at risk of developing disability due to mental illness. The CMHN is accountable for the provision of education aimed at prevention and early intervention services to reduce incidence and disability due to mental illness. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Licenses Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE) Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Intermediate - Communication skills Basic - Organizational skills Basic - Computer skills Basic - Public relations skills Intermediate - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Knowledge of the Child and Family Service's Act Ability to design, initiate and conduct in service training for others.
