This includes persons who may be at risk of developing disability due to mental illness. The CMHN is accountable for the provision of education aimed at prevention and early intervention services to reduce incidence and disability due to mental illness. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN) Licenses Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Other Education and Training Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE) Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Intermediate - Communication skills Intermediate - Interpersonal skills Basic - Computer skills Basic - Public relations skills Basic - Organizational skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of the Child and Family Service's Act Ability to design, initiate and conduct in service training for others.
