Position #: 9007427 Expected Start Date: February 22, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Kidney Health Centre City/Town: Regina Department: Home Dialysis Teaching Combined Hemo & Peritoneal Dialysis Specialty D&N Care Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: July 31, 2026 FTE: 0.5 Shift Information: Days, Standby Hours of Work: 56 hours / 3 weeks; 8 hour shifts ;14 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Scheduled hours of work may be reduced (if applicable) during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Home Dialysis Nurse Educator integrates clinical expertise and principles of teaching and learning, and chronic disease care, in the provision of chronic kidney disease (CKD) education/training. The recipients of this education/training are home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis clients and their families, health care professionals, and students. Teaching occurs in inpatient/outpatient/community settings with individuals/groups. The incumbent is responsible for assessing learning needs and planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities for clients, families, communities, health professionals and students. The Home Dialysis Educator collaborates with the multidisciplinary team members, inpatient/outpatient/hospital departments, community agencies, and vendors/suppliers of dialysis products and equipment to deliver client centred care through educational activities/self-management strategies. The incumbent participates in research/program monitoring/quality improvement initiatives related to home dialysis and CKD management. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Experience Requires a minimum of three (3) years recent full-time clinical nursing experience with patients and families with chronic disease, specifically chronic kidney disease. Experience with peritoneal dialysis/hemodialysis required. Minimum one (1) year experience with adult education related to the area of CKD/chronic disease management is required.
