Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Nurse Consultant - Viral Hepatitis Service, you will play a pivotal role in the treatment and management of viral hepatitis, working within a collaborative model of care alongside General Practitioners, community health services, and specialist clinicians. Your expertise will be central to providing health education, counselling, and facilitating access to treatment for individuals affected by viral hepatitis. You will monitor long-term patient outcomes and work closely with ID Physicians and Hepatologists to ensure the best care for your patients, recognising when to refer complex cases outside your scope of practice.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to take on a leadership role, providing clinical expertise to nurses and coordinating care programs aimed at improving outcomes for high-risk and vulnerable populations. You will be responsible for leading projects that enhance the quality of care and working collaboratively across a wide range of health services. If you’re looking for a role where you can make a significant impact, lead with autonomy, and drive improvements in patient care, this is the opportunity for you.

To excel in this role, you will have a passion for leadership and making a tangible impact on patient care. You will be an experienced Nurse or Midwife with a solid track record of clinical practice, leadership, and team collaboration.

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse/Midwife with 5+ years’ post-registration experience.
  • Leadership: Proven skills in leading teams and driving change management initiatives.
  • Communication: Ability to engage and support clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience & Knowledge: Expertise in nursing or midwifery standards, legislation, and quality improvement
