POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an entrepreneurially minded Registered Nurse who will be dedicated to the development and maintenance of our beautiful clinic by joining our team as Nurse Consultant.
The Registered Nurse will work collectively with our clinical team to ensure the highest quality of care in the clinic and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient/client care.
You will be expected to work both autonomously, with limited supervision, and interactively with other team members, demonstrating a commitment toward shared goals and a willingness to take initiative.

Responsibilities

As a registered nurse (RN) and/or RPN, your primary responsibility is to provide quality nursing care to patients under the direction of the Clinic Director. Some of your specific job duties may include:

  • Assessing patient health: RNs are responsible for assessing the health status of patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and completing thorough health history intake assessments (via telephone and in person).
  • Administering medication: RNs administer medications and injections to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules when ordered by the physician.
  • Monitoring patient progress: RNs monitor patients’ progress, observing and documenting changes in their health status, and communicating this information to other healthcare team members.
  • Providing patient education: RNs educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals: RNs work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physicians, technicians and pharmacists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Maintaining patient records: RNs maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, Cumulative Patient Profiles (CPPs) and progress notes while always ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Ensuring patient safety: RNs ensure that patients receive safe and appropriate care by following established protocols and guidelines for infection control, medication administration and other healthcare practices.
  • The RN is responsible for administering immunizations and vaccinations, educating patients, and completing daily vaccine fridge checks while monitoring vaccine inventory.
  • The RN will maintain the clinic’s Crash Carts and ensure medications are well-stocked and within the appropriate usage date.
  • The RN will be responsible for facilitating Aviation Medical Examinations and High Altitude Testing (training will be provided).
  • The RN will be responsible for conducting primary care nursing procedures, including ear syringing, dressing changes, suture/staple removal, phlebotomy, providing basic nursing skills support to physicians, and other nursing duties.
  • Overall, RNs play a critical role in the healthcare system by providing essential nursing care to patients and supporting the work of other healthcare professionals.
