Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Educator (Family Birthplace / OR Circulation for C-Sections)
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Employment Type: 13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Day Shifts | 36 or 48 hrs/week
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend & Holiday Rotation

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Educator for the Family Birthplace Unit, focusing on operating room circulation for C-sections. This role is responsible for educating and training clinical staff in perioperative and labor & delivery practices, ensuring safe, evidence-based care during surgical deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts (must be in hand prior to submission).
  • BSN or higher degree required.
  • 3+ years current RN Educator experience in perinatal or OR circulation for C-sections.
  • Straight L&D RN experience alone is not sufficient – OR circulation expertise is required.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA) – must be active at submission.
  • NRP certification preferred.
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse strongly preferred.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical education and hands-on training for OR circulation in C-section procedures.
  • Collaborate with perinatal and surgical teams to enhance staff competencies and patient safety.
  • Maintain and communicate standards of care, best practices, and safety protocols.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to L&D and OR staff, assisting in procedure preparation and workflow optimization.
  • Promote compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and national nursing standards.
