ROLE TITLE: NURSE EDUCATOR (GRADE 2)

Role type: Permanent full time
Department and location: Perioperative Services, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst
Salary: $131,870.90 - $134,500.70 + super.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of education programs to meet the needs of staff working within clinical environments.
  • Working in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Managers, Nurse Manager Perioperative Services, Stream Manager and the Nurse Manager for Education.
  • Ensure all staff have equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence.
  • Ensure evidence-based practice principles have been utilised in the development of curriculum, programs, policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation.
  • Responsible for education portfolios/programs in collaboration with the Nursing Education Department and for ensuring that the education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.
