Description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is accepting applications for a casual Nurse Extern with our 2 North East Med Surg Unit. The externs will have an opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience and work alongside Registered Nurses. Within the framework of the hospital and nursing service policies and procedures, the primary purpose of the Nurse Extern is to carry out routine and assigned nursing tasks and assists the nurse with carrying out patient care activities within the scope of training and experience. Qualifications * Sophomore level or higher Professional Nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program. * Must have experience effectively dealing with the public. * Registrations: CPR certification

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Nurse Extern is to carry out routine and assigned nursing tasks and assist the nurse with carrying out patient care activities within the scope of their training and experience. Externs will gain valuable clinical experience working alongside Registered Nurses in the 2 North East Med Surg Unit.
