Description
Responsibilities

Live in a remote community close to Alice Springs and Palm Valley, working with women and children and supported by the local Ntaria health team and the Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program (ANFPP) in Alice Springs. The ANFPP is a voluntary home visiting program for women pregnant with an Aboriginal Child. Visits begin in early pregnancy and continue until the child is 2 years old. Nurses and/or Midwives and Aboriginal Community Workers work in partnership with women and their families delivering an intensive evidence-based home visiting program.
The Nurse Home Visitor (NHV) develops long term relationships with women and families living in the Western Arrernte Health Service region including Ntaria, Wallace Rockhole, Utju and surrounding outstations that build client skills, confidence and hope.
Based on five client-centred principles, the program values clients’ ability to determine their own future. The position has a high level of autonomy, flexibility and personal satisfaction.
