We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Blood bank team and play a crucial role in securing the nation’s blood supply. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse In-Charge to lead our team at Bloodbank@Westgate Tower. The appointee will be pegged at the level of Assistant Nurse Clinician/ Senior Staff Nurse and the role involves overseeing daily operations, managing donor services, and ensuring the highest standards of blood collection and quality management. [What you will be working on] Oversee Whole Blood collection programmes, lead and manage blood collection staff in their daily responsibilities Ensure seamless operations of the blood collection centre in collaboration with management, maintain high standards of donor and blood product management Conduct machine validation and calibration procedures Lead the team as a role model and foster effective teamwork, coach and mentor blood collection staff in their work responsibilities Assist in competency and proficiency assessments and testing Support quality management activities and participate in Blood Bank audits to meet accreditation standards Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures Provide clinical support in donor management activities including medical screening Manage blood donor complications and adverse events, demonstrate effective communication skills in donor services Ensure donor safety and satisfaction throughout the donation process Conduct research and participate in or lead project initiatives with clinical or process improvement focus Identify opportunities for operational enhancement and service excellence [What we are looking for] Education and Qualifications: Minimum Advanced Diploma or Degree in Nursing with relevant work experience as a registered Nurse Valid Nursing registration certificate with Singapore Nursing Board Work experience and attributes: At least 2 years of experience as an Assistant Nurse Clinician (ANC) Experience leading operational teams in a managerial position Excellent nursing knowledge with professional and technical competence Strong leadership abilities with expertise in people, process, and service management strategies Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with good situational awareness Passion for community service and commitment to healthcare excellence Work arrangements: Rotational morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts across a 5-day work week (no night shifts) Ability to commit to weekend shifts on weekly basis (most rest/off days will be on weekdays) Operating days/hours vary based on location.
