JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Human Resources Manager or his/her delegate, and within the limits of established Policies, Procedures and Human Resources Manual, oversees the administration of the Hotel Clinic and providing medical assistance to all hotel employees & guests whilst providing support to HR functions.

Responsibilities
  • To attend to all staff medical needs.
  • To attend urgent hospitalization, doctor’s care etc.& accompany staff where possible or appropriate.
  • To ensure that adequate medicine and drugs are available in the Hotel Clinic at all times.
  • To ensure that all Hotel First Aid boxes are replenished in a timely manner at least once a month.
  • To assist Human Resources by keeping staff medical records.
  • To help facilitate medical examination of new staff.
  • To visit sick female and male staff in their rooms if required.
  • To be available at all times while on duty to attend to staff medical needs.
  • Obtaining health cards for all staff.
  • To ensure proper maintenance of all medical equipment belonging to the Hotel Clinic and in the hotel.
  • To ensure that the Hotel Clinic neat and tidy at all times.
  • To participate in Hotel Health & Safety and Fire Training Program and respond to fire alarms real or drill.
  • To provide monthly and annually accident statistics for the HR report.
  • Be a HACCP committee member and actively improve workplace in terms of Health & Safety.
  • Ensure First Aiders are certified and conduct spot checks on their knowledge.
  • To Coordinate Food Handlers annual food hygiene certificates.
  • Obtaining Insurance cards for all senior staff & management from the selected company.
  • Update health cards, health certificate & insurance cards on computer.
  • Daily filing for staff medical records.
  • Coordinate with driver for transportation assistance.
  • Handling medical reimbursement for all staff.
  • Make a memo for health cards & Food Handlers fee.
  • Carry out Doctor’s orders.
  • Follow up documents in Hamad hospital and other affiliated hospitals.
  • To attend to all hotel guest medical needs and urgent hospitalization.
  • To forward copy of sick leave report to concerned Heads of Department.
  • To liaise with government medical services in order to be informed of the latest medical needs and developments within the country.
  • Organized health check, vaccination campaigns, blood donation drive for all staffs.
  • Arrange quotations for medical services as and when needed, or replacement nurse.
  • Any other reasonable request by a member of the management team.
  • Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation.
  • Make careful use of safety equipment, such as gloves, goggles, aprons, overalls, shoes, and ensure they are properly stored after use, report any damage to the supervisor.
  • Not undertake any activity which compromises their personal FLS, or the FLS of others.
  • Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department.
  • Coordinate with Qatar Red Crescent in conducting First Aid Training Certified Courses to staff.
