Job Description Maintain patient’s medical records and ensure confidentiality for effective management. Procure, distribute, and manage medical equipment, medications, and consumables. Evaluate critically ill or injured patients by collecting current symptoms, as well as a detailed patient history communicate with the Physician and patients ensuring the accuracy of the information given to the patient regarding his health condition, diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication protocols. Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. Observing and interpreting patients’ symptoms and communicating them to physicians. Consults and coordinates with the health team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Responsible for maintaining Emergency care standards Demonstration of sound decision-making in emergency scenarios based on patient conditions such as vital signs, patient presentation, and assessments. Provide professional, evidence-based Primary Healthcare to patients during daytime hours on a 12-hour continuous basis. Be prepared to manage medical emergencies, 24/7. Stabilize and prepare patients ahead of MEDEVAC and be prepared to provide medical care during transfers. Provide advice and guidance to UNHCR staff on matters relating to risks to health, including mental health first aid. When necessary, work in conjunction local providers and the Physician to coordinate medical movements/evacuations from Duty Stations. Delivering health promotion and education activities, coordinating assigned health programs. Qualifications Accepted international standard paramedic/general nursing qualification Current valid registration/licence to practice in country of origin Minimum of 3 Years’ post qualification experience ACLS or equivalent Remote area/austere environment experience preferred. Additional Information Key Skills: Excellent communication skills Excellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems Fluency in English with French language preferred Essential Capabilities: Must be able to work autonomously in demanding situations.
