Description Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Critical Care (RN) for a permanent leadership opportunity in Sanford, Florida. This role provides leadership, accountability, and operational oversight for critical care services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned units. The Nurse Manager supports a culture of collaboration, performance improvement, and service excellence while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accrediting requirements. Key Responsibilities • Provide 24/7 leadership accountability for patient care delivery across assigned critical care units. • Ensure nursing practice standards, policies, and procedures meet legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. • Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to support continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. • Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical outcomes, and service excellence. • Coordinate patient care across departments and services throughout the hospital. • Ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, and resources are available to support high-quality care delivery. • Participate in patient rounding and proactively address patient and family needs. • Promote a patient-centered, quiet healing environment. • Support effective discharge planning in collaboration with physicians and case management. • Foster strong communication with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. • Ensure effective pain management practices are implemented and maintained within assigned units. Department Scope • Oversight of ICU and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) • Total bed count: approximately 31 beds • Oversees approximately 48 FTEs Compensation Annual Salary Range (Based on Experience) • $79,000 (minimum) • $98,000 (mid-range, approximately 10 years of experience) • $110,000 (15+ years of experience) Additional Information • Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis Requirements • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. • Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required. • Minimum of 3 years of recent (within the last year) acute care leadership experience in an ICU setting. • NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of employment start date. • Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of employment start date. • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification required within 6 months of employment start date. • Strong leadership, communication, and critical care management skills. • Ability to respond to operational needs outside standard business hours as required.
