ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is a Registered Nurse or Midwife with a current AHPRA registration along with knowledge of state, national and international issues, policies and directions affecting nursing and midwifery. You will need demonstrated extensive and diverse management experience as well as demonstrated skills in the development of innovative and effective recruitment and retention strategies.
The preferred candidate will also need to demonstrate ability to develop and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans at an organisational wide level as well as demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills in order to engage key stakeholders in the development and adoption of marketing, recruitment and retention strategies.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Nursing & Midwifery Manager: Early Career Development & Education Partnerships position takes a lead role in developing and implementing strategies to support student and Registered Nurses/Midwives in Clinical Education, Training, and Graduate Programs including Evaluation. Communicate and collaborate the information to Nursing Managers for planning and implementation as necessary into their portfolios and leadership streams.
The position has strong linkages and relationships with NSW Nursing & Midwifery Office (NaMO) and will be responsible for New Graduate RN/RM, Enrolled Nursing (Diploma) and Nursing and Midwifery Aboriginal Cadetship Program (in collaboration with Nurse Manager: Aboriginal Health Workforce & Strategy).
The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Tertiary institutions to identify and work in collaboration to develop and implement innovative programs to enhance recruitment and retention opportunities across Mid North Coast LHD and to lead special initiatives and projects as required.
The role is location negotiable within the Mid North Coast Local Health District, we have offices in Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
