Responsibilities: The Manager, Nurse Informatics will play a leadership role in the AKU OneHealth Programme team, focusing on maximizing the clinical effectiveness, safety, and operational efficiency of AKU OneHealth within nursing and multidisciplinary clinical workflows. Reporting to the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), you will be responsible for: Owning and leading the nursing informatics portfolio, translating organizational clinical strategy into executable AKU OneHealth build, optimization, and standardization initiatives. Overseeing and assuring the quality of nursing workflows, documentation, and clinical content in AKU OneHealth, including direct involvement in critical build, testing, usability, and end user training activities. Establishing and enforcing governance for nursing related AKU OneHealth changes, standard content, and workflow design to ensure consistency, safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with clinical best practice. Serving as the primary nursing informatics liaison with nursing leadership, physicians, ICT, and project management teams. Leading, supervising, and developing Nurse Informaticists, including setting priorities, managing performance, mentoring staff, and building sustainable internal capability in clinical workflow design and system optimization. Overseeing training strategy, end user readiness, and at the elbow support for AKU OneHealth go-live and driving post go-live stabilization and optimization. Active management of risks, dependencies, and escalations while protecting clinical safety and operational continuity. Providing expert clinical informatics input to non-clinical teams and supporting cross-functional decision-making related to digital clinical transformation. Acting as a mentor and professional role model for Nurse Informaticists, nursing staff, and trainees involved in informatics-related initiatives. Using AKU OneHealth data, user feedback, and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement in workflows, documentation quality, and system usability. Enabling appropriate use of AKU OneHealth data and environments for clinical research, quality improvement, and education, in alignment with data governance and quality standards. Supporting educational initiatives through the effective use of AKU OneHealth, including scenario development and training environment design. Ability to travel occasionally as warranted by AKU OneHealth Programme work and location; frequency will vary depending on programme requirements. Requirements: The incumbent must have: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Post RN BScN (Required). Master’s degree in Nursing/ Health Informatics/ Health Administration, or related field (Preferred). Valid Nursing License from Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). 5–7 years’ experience as a nurse in acute care, ambulatory, or Emergency settings. Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating EHR / AKU OneHealth implementation, optimization, or major clinical system change. Experience in supervising, mentoring, or leading clinical or informatics staff. Strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient clinical workflows and direct patient care processes. Knowledge of hospital practice procedures, regulations, and clinical governance. Prior hands-on experience with clinical information systems (AKU OneHealth/EHR), preferred but not required. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to handle confidential information and work effectively in a multidisciplinary, team-oriented environment.
