JOB DESCRIPTION

UF Health Central Florida is seeking an experienced and dynamic Division Manager of Hospitalist Operations to join our team. This key leadership role will serve as the Operations Manager for our Hospital Medicine division, playing a vital part in driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence. The Division Manager will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and the Vice President of Clinical Outcomes to support physician alignment, enhance performance, and foster collaboration across departments and stakeholders.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing or a related field is strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience
  • Experience and/or training in case management, managed care, discharge planning, and utilization management
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives
  • Broad clinical knowledge with the ability to function independently and accept responsibility
  • Self-motivated, with a strong commitment to staying informed of current practice and regulatory standards applicable hospital-wide
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the care delivery team
  • Demonstrated ability to define and achieve project goals in a timely and resourceful manner

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement physician strategies that drive clinical and operational success within Hospital Medicine.
  • Lead operational initiatives focused on continuous improvement, resource management, and quality assurance across the division.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for the Hospitalist Contract Scorecard, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of key performance metrics.
  • Oversee timely execution of projects arising from the Hospitalist Council, Hospitalist PRC, and other related committees and sub-committees.
  • Manage logistics and operational processes including IT systems and facilities to optimize resource stewardship and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
  • Utilize critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to enhance operational effectiveness and support positive employee relations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to a multidisciplinary professional and technical team dedicated to delivering exceptional care and service to hospitalists and patients.
  • Foster a culture of outstanding customer service and maintain professional, respectful relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
