We have a rare opportunity to join our Nurse Manager team.
This is an RN position

Pine Village is a Christian based, non-profit retirement community. Services include independent living, assisted living, health care, skilled care and memory care. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas.

EXPERIENCE

Sufficient previous experience in clinical health care including direct experience in risk management and quality assurance & assessment.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of risk identification, evaluation, and treatment in the facility.
  • Must possess the ability to oversee investigations of all serious incidents and claims.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., in relationship to risk reduction and quality improvement.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents and staff.
  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices relating to the control of claim costs and quality improvement.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position.
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
  • Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to the resident’s body fluids.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct the Quality Assessment & Improvement Program in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Director of Nursing and assure that the highest degree of quality resident care and safety can be maintained at all times.
