JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Manager of Diagnostic Imaging oversees all clinical functions of the department and provides high quality Imaging services.
  • Delegates Clinical functions of each shift to corresponding supervisor and/or lead and ensure the imaging services are delivered at its best to the customers.
  • Assists the Director of Radiology to develop/implement policies/procedures that guide/support the provision of services.
  • Determines the qualifications/competencies of personnel.
  • Continuously assesses/improves department’s performance.
  • Maintains/implements quality control programs.
  • Provides for the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of staff.
  • Supports the marketing functions of the department/hospital.
  • Serves as a role model for attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours.
  • Assists the Director of Radiology in special projects and other assignments.
  • Establishes and maintains constructive working relationship with other departments within the hospital.
  • Resolves interdepartmental issues in a timely manner.
  • Conducts and coordinates supervisory and departmental meetings monthly.
  • Effectively communicates with Radiologists to maintain a productive working relationship.
  • Assumes the responsibility of the director in his/her absence.
  • Actively participates in resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Investigates and responds to occurrence reports in a timely manner.
  • Delivers Customer focused care utilizing the seven Excellence Always Standards to include the transport of patients as necessary to facilitate optimal patient care flow.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years’ Radiology management experience with a large hospital.
  • Five years’ Radiologic technology experience (minimum 8 years’ experience total) preferred.
  • Multi-modality experience preferred.
