Description
Assists Director in supervising and directing nursing care and all related activities of the service. Assures maintenance of the environment of care and all applicable standards/policies (e.g. established ATRIUM MEDICAL CENTER policies, procedures and standards of care, OSHA, ODH, JCAHO and other accrediting bodies). Utilizes principles of the nursing process in providing care for patients. Builds and develops the patient care team using staff personnel, assistance to physicians, material and equipment, education of personnel and administrative duties. Serves as chief retention and recruitment leader of the unit. Accountable to the organization to understand and support the hospital’s mission, visions and values. Full time/80 hours per pay period Dayshift Assists Director in supervising and directing nursing care and all related activities of the service. Assures maintenance of the environment of care and all applicable standards/policies (e.g. established ATRIUM MEDICAL CENTER policies, procedures and standards of care, OSHA, ODH, JCAHO and other accrediting bodies). Utilizes principles of the nursing process in providing care for patients. Builds and develops the patient care team using staff personnel, assistance to physicians, material and equipment, education of personnel and administrative duties. Serves as chief retention and recruitment leader of the unit. Accountable to the organization to understand and support the hospital’s mission, visions and values. Education: Graduate of accredited program of professional nursing. BSN required. Require continuing education in leadership as evidenced by attending leadership management topics. Licensure: Current Ohio Nursing license required. Certification: Current CPR Certification required. Certification in area of specialty/expertise recommended. Experience: Minimum of three years hospital experience in pertinent clinical specialty and 2-3 years in leadership/management/charge role required. Skills/Other: Excellent clinical, time management, communication (written & verbal) and organizational skills required. Proven skill in leadership, care management, performance improvement and SPC required. Computer skills (programming and keyboarding) required.
Responsibilities
