Description

A Primary Care practice in Barrington is looking for a part-time or full-time Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations in outpatient clinical office.
  • Identify care gaps and meet quality measures.
  • Assist physicians in reviewing lab results of patients.
  • Mentor for clinical personnel (nurses and medical assistants)
  • Liaison with patients, staff, providers and management
  • Can perform independently or as part of a treatment team with or without nurse or MA’s support

Duties would include but not limited to:

  • Provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications with or without nurse or MA’s support
  • Educate patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments.
  • Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients.
  • Communicates professionally with patients served regardless of their age.
  • Provide coverage backup for nurses or medical assistants when needed
  • Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the success of the practice
  • Active participation in the development/review of office policies and procedures.
  • Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed as a NP or a PA with a master’s degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.
  • Two-year post-degree experience in family medicine or internal medicine as a NP or PA is required.
  • Proven excellent Quality and clinical Standards
