If you are a Nurse Practitioner (NNP) who is looking to practice within a large urban hospital with a small community atmosphere, Alberta Health Services (AHS) has an exciting opportunity for you! You will be working as part of the Orthopedic Surgical Services team that practices within a dynamic interdisciplinary healthcare team at South Health Campus Hospital. We are looking for applicants who have effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as work collaboratively with patients and families as partners in care. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
