Your Opportunity:
This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position with Seniors Health Central Zone provides support to three facilities in our Zone. Based out of Tofield, the NP supports residents at the Tofield Continuing Care Type A site as well as Hardisty and Galahad sites. Working as an advanced practice nurse, this position integrates clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures in order to manage and meet the health needs of the residents living in our care. This position works to the full scope of NP care and is an essential part of our interdisciplinary team, coordinating and collaborating with other healthcare providers including physicians, nursing, allied health and other community resources to provide and promote comprehensive resident/family centred care.
Description:

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
