Your Opportunity:
(CCU and WARD) AHS is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Adult to join the Cardiology NP team at the Rockyview General Hospital. This position is one of several NP positions that is part of a strong NP model of care delivery within the Cardiology service. This position will provide frontline clinical care within all aspects of the delivery of cardiac care at RGH. The NP will support the clinical management of patients admitted to the cardiac service and collaborate with the cardiac services team including Physicians, inpatient and outpatient nursing staff and leaders, allied health team members, subspecialists and RGH administration to ensure seamless transfers into and out of hospital for this complex, high needs, patient group. You will provide comprehensive, holistic and patient-family centered care and contribute patient care through advanced clinical practice, leadership, consultations, referrals, education, and research. In addition, you will provide nursing education and leadership locally, provincially and nationally, and will be involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and program improvements related to cardiology. The NP requires strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships with staff, the management team, physicians, and all members of the interdisciplinary team. Description:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
