Work independently with your own panel of patients of all ages, within an amazing collaborative team including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physicians, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Dieticians, a Pharmacist, Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist. East Calgary Family Care Clinic (ECFCC) is known for providing comprehensive primary care for patients with complex needs. This could be any combination of chronic illnesses and mental health concerns along with social or economic factors that negatively impact health. The Nurse Practitioner role at the ECFCC works independently with their own panel of patients, acting as the patients’ most responsible provider. Working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, you will provide patient and family centered care in a nonjudgmental, trauma informed approach, supporting health enhancing behaviors. This role is perfect for someone looking to work to their full scope of practice in a team-based environment. ECFCC is open 7 days per week with extended hours - this role does include occasional evenings and occasional weekends & stat holidays. In the 8-week rotation there are 4 evenings (12:45 PM – 21:00 PM) and 2 weekends (08:45 AM – 17:00 PM). This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. Description:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems.
