Nurse Practitioner  Reports to: Director of Provider Relations  Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As an Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and managing work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as providing preventative healthcare services to employees. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients. Job Responsibilities: * Evaluate and treat patients with work-related injuries and illnesses. * Conduct pre-employment and annual physical exams to ensure employees are physically able to perform their job duties. * Administer immunizations and perform health screenings to prevent illnesses and promote wellness. * Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays and blood work. * Prescribe medications and therapies to manage symptoms and promote healing. * Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures they can take to avoid future injuries. * Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Medicine Physician and other healthcare professionals. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Qualifications: * Must be able to work overnight on-call shifts and have weekend availability. * Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. * Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. * Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities. * Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, workers' compensation laws, and OSHA standards Education and License/Certifications: * Must have a current California Nurse Practitioner license. * Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program, (with a specialization in occupational health preferred). * Must be DOT certified or certified within 30 days of hire. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED). Physical Requirements: * Must have ability to lift and transfer patients * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods * Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. * Must be able to reach assigned destination in a reasonable time frame. * Must be able to meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, including physical examination.
