Department: Public Health Affiliation: MNA General Summary: Under the supervision of the Personal Health Director, serves as a nurse practitioner in the department’s family planning health care program. Performs complete screening physicals with emphasis on the reproductive system and develops health maintenance and treatment plans. Works independently under the medical protocols approved by the medical director and seeks consultation necessary. Employment Qualifications:  Education: Possession of a Master’s Degree in Nursing and relevant Nurse Practitioner training. Experience: Two years as a Registered Nurse in the field of Women’s Health Care, Maternal and Child Health, or a related field. Licenses and Certificates: Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan. Certification as a nurse practitioner (OB/GYN, Family Practice) by the ANA or NACOG, and possession of a license issued by the State of Michigan as a Nurse Practitioner.
