We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Paul First Nation, an integral community within our network.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Paul First Nation, you will be a primary healthcare provider responsible for delivering comprehensive, longitudinal care to a diverse patient population. You will play a critical role in promoting health and wellness, managing chronic conditions, and providing preventive care within the community. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a culturally rich environment, making a meaningful impact on the health outcomes of Paul First Nation members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, with a focus on advanced clinical practice.
• Certification: Current enrollment with CRNA extended practice roster.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting. Experience in Indigenous or rural healthcare is an asset.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, including diagnostic and treatment abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Cultural Competence: Understanding of Indigenous health issues and the ability to deliver culturally sensitive care.

• Primary Care Services: Provide comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough health assessments, including physical exams and health histories.
• Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on preventive health, chronic disease management, and patient education.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Community Engagement: Participate in community health initiatives, educational programs, and outreach activities to promote health and wellness.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, adhering to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Advocacy: Advocate for patients within the healthcare system, ensuring equitable access to healthcare resources and services.
