Description

Mill Creek Health is a friendly busy family medicine clinic in Cambridge, ON seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a full-time locum position from September 15, 2025 to October 16, 2025.
This position will involve 4 weekday shifts Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 4:30pm. Paid lunch breaks and paid charting time are provided during each shift.
The successful candidate will function as an autonomous primary care provider, working independently and without supervision, providing comprehensive care to a wide range of patients across all ages for episodic care, chronic disease management, and preventative health. A family physician will be available for consultation if/when necessary.

Required Work Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years experience in family medicine/primary care would be preferred
  • PS Suite EMR experience an asset

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct medical care to patients following evidence-based guidelines
  • Perform focused history taking and physical exam, arrange appropriate diagnostic testing and investigations, and provide necessary treatments for patients in a family medicine clinic setting
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and instruction as required
  • Review diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory results and arrange appropriate follow-up care as necessary
  • Perform minor office procedures as necessary
  • Work independently without supervision

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • Certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario: Registered Nurse Certificate of Competence with Extended Class (RNEC)
  • BScN degree in Nursing required, MScN degree in Nursing would be an asset
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner Certificate, including successful completion of the College of Nurses of Ontario Primary Care Nurse Practitioner examinations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in an independent and self-directed manner
  • Efficiently prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment using superior time management skills
  • Excellent decision-making, problem recognition, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent attendance and superior work ethic and professionalism
  • The successful candidate will provide an acceptable Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
