Description

Mill Creek Health is a busy family medicine clinic in Cambridge, Ontario seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and dynamic medical team in providing exceptional patient care. This is a permanent weekday position which will involve the following 3 shifts each week:
Monday 1pm-8pm
Tuesday 1pm-8pm
Wednesday 9am-5pm
This position offers 1 hour paid lunch/dinner break and 30 minutes paid admin time with each shift. Two (2) weeks paid vacation are also included.
The option to increase this position to full-time will become available in the future, if interested.
The successful candidate will function as an autonomous primary care provider, working independently and without supervision, providing comprehensive care to a wide range of patients across all ages. A family physician will be available for consultation if necessary.

Required Work Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years experience in family medicine/primary care
  • PS Suite EMR experience an asset

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct medical care to patients following evidence-based guidelines
  • Perform focused history taking and physical exam, arrange appropriate diagnostic testing and investigations, and provide necessary treatments for patients in a family medicine clinic setting
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and instruction as required
  • Review diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory results and arrange appropriate follow-up care as necessary
  • Perform minor office procedures as necessary
  • Work independently without supervision

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • Certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario: Registered Nurse Certificate of Competence with Extended Class (RNEC)
  • BScN degree in Nursing required, MScN degree in Nursing would be an asset
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner Certificate, including successful completion of the College of Nurses of Ontario Primary Care Nurse Practitioner examinations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in an independent and self-directed manner
  • Efficiently prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment using superior time management skills
  • Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent attendance, superior work ethic, and professionalism
  • The successful candidate will provide an acceptable Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
