Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive patient assessment, ordering and interpreting of appropriate laboratory tests and radiologic exams, diagnosis, treatment and management of chemotherapy side effects, and medical co-morbidities.
  • Be expected to manage side effects and complications from underlying co-morbidities, hematologic disease and therapy, while collaborating with a consultant Hematologist and fellow.
  • Consult and make referrals to physicians and other members of the health care team as appropriate and coordinate discharge planning
