Bring your clinical expertise, dedication, and passion for providing quality, compassionate care to a challenging and rewarding role as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Orthopaedic Surgery at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH). We are currently seeking two NPs to join our dynamic Orthopaedic Surgery team, delivering comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs across the continuum of elective and non-elective orthopedic surgical care.
Practicing within a collaborative, team-based model, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work closely with orthopaedic surgeons who remain the Most Responsible Provider (MRP) for surgical care and interprofessional colleagues to deliver seamless, patient-centered care from admission through to discharge or transfer. The NP plays a key role in assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients across the continuum of elective and non-elective orthopaedic care. Responsibilities include participating in daily rounds, coordinating discharge planning and transitions of care, consulting with medical subspecialties, and supporting community reintegration. The NP also contributes to quality improvement, education, and research initiatives, while ensuring accurate documentation using Fraser Health’s Meditech Expanse system.
RCH located in New Westminster, BC, is one of Fraser Health’s three regional hospitals and a leading tertiary care center in New Westminster, BC, and a key site within Fraser Health for specialized surgical services. As a regional referral hospital, RCH provides advanced orthopaedic surgical care, including both elective and emergency procedures, supported by a multidisciplinary team and state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital’s integrated approach ensures high-quality, patient-centered care across the full continuum—from acute intervention to rehabilitation and discharge planning.
New Westminster is known for its stunning waterfront views along the Fraser River, located on the north side of the Fraser River bordering several municipalities in each direction (Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, and Delta), making it the centre of the Greater Vancouver region.
