Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to work alongside our Pain Center. Pain Management Nurse Practitioner job duties include, but are not limited to: Assessment and management of patients with acute and chronic pain, to include modalities of Spinal Cord Stimulation and Intrathecal Pumps. * Performs a physical exam based upon the age and patient history as per the Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician. * Orders and interprets diagnostic lab and radiological studies as indicated to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. * Develops a diagnosis by analyzing and synthesizing collected data. * In collaboration with the physician, develops a treatment plan with the patient and significant others. * Performs diagnostic, therapeutic, or preventative health care services consistent with certification, law, and Cabell Huntington Hospital privileges. * May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority through WV Board of Nursing and CHH policy. * Provide direct patient care, by making treatment recommendations and explaining the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of procedures to the patient and/or patient's family. * Monitor patient progress by carrying-out patient care services; maintaining patient records; consulting with physicians when patient's progress does not meet anticipated and/or predetermined criteria. * Other duties as assigned This position requires an individual who is empathetic towards the long term needs of individuals with chronic pain. Attention to detail with the long term goals of stability and commitment to the practice are essential. Qualifications Education: * Master of Nursing Practitioner is required * WV RN & APRN licensure required. * 2 years of position-related experience preferred - Preference will be given to those experienced in Pain Management.

Responsibilities
