Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for providers passionate about improving patients’ quality of life through comprehensive and compassionate pain management. Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the NP will assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. The role involves collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care. Training and mentorship will be provided to support professional growth. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing acute or chronic pain to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment plan. Provide ambulatory care for pain management patients, including medication management, interventional procedures, and follow-up care. Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and perform procedures within scope of practice and under supervision when appropriate. Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop individualized treatment plans that may include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Educate patients and families on pain management strategies, safe medication use, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care. Assist in coordinating referrals to specialists such as physical therapy, behavioral health, or surgery when indicated. Participate in monitoring and evaluating treatment outcomes to ensure effective and safe patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Support and promote quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs within the pain management service line. May provide coverage at affiliated clinics or assist with training and development of new staff members as needed. Current Texas APRN license and national certification (ANCC or AANP). DEA license and prescriptive authority in the State of Texas. Prior experience in pain management, neurology, anesthesiology, or rehabilitation medicine preferred; new graduates with strong interest in pain medicine are encouraged to apply.
