EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OTHERQUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Successful completion of a master,post-master, or doctorate degree from an accredited nurse practitioner orphysician assistant program. Certification in the state of Texas as a Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant. License to practice psychiatric medicine in Texas also necessary.
Experience Required: At least 1 year experience prescribingpsychiatric medication in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting preferred.
REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION,LICENSURE OR OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Must maintain a valid TexasDriver’s license, auto liability insurance and a driving record acceptable toPermiaCare’s insurance requirements.
- Required to pass criminal historyand background checks as well as pre-employment drug screen.
- Current and valid NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Must maintain active DEAregistration.
- Must maintain evidence ofsupervision by a licensed psychiatrist via a prescriptive authoritativeagreement with the Texas Medical Board.
