POSITION SUMMARY/ DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Interventional Radiology. *Please note this is a non-procedural role. This position is a flex position which will also cover the GPU as well as other Surgical and Procedural areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients requiring Interventional Radiology interventions in consultation with the Interventional Radiologists.
  • Ordering and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests, post-procedural recovery care, inpatient rounds, consultation with other health care providers, coordination of care, referrals, prescription of medications, and follow up care including telephone updates, triage of complications and clinic visits.
  • Obtaining pre-operative histories and conducting physical examinations.
  • Working 20 hours per week: rotating days M-F including 8,10- and 12-hour shifts and some evenings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A Masters Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of PNP/FNP experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team preferred
  • Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills and be self-directed

Licensure/ Certifications:

  • A current MA license to practice as a NP (FNP or PNP) or PA
