Description This PRN position is responsible for providing patient care services, including assessing and managing patients following established standards and practices and within scope of practice. Works collaboratively with physicians. Core privileges: Include the initial and ongoing assessment of the patient's medical, physical and psychosocial status including: Completion of history and physical examination, consultations, progress notes in timely fashion as specified in the bylaws. Formulate the appropriate differential diagnosis based on the history, physical examination and clinical findings. Interdisciplinary collaboration. Diverse small community located conveniently close to Kansas City. Requirements Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant requirements Education: Master's Degree required. Experience: 1-2 years related experience and/or training in hospital medicine preferred. Certificate/License/Registration: Current physician assistant (PA) license from the State of Missouri required. Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Current Drug Enforcement Association (DEA) license required/BNDD. Stroke certification per specified specialty practice required (NIHSS). Opportunity Highlights: Competitive Compensation. EMR: Oracle Cerner, transitioning to Meditech Expanse Fall 2026. PRN, average of 2-3 shifts per month (a mix of 10-hour Monday - Friday shifts, and 8-hour Saturday and Sunday shifts).
