Description Position: Nurse Practitioner Full Time: 32 to 40 hours Multiple Clinic Locations around Indy Salary $55.00 to $65.00/hr based on experience Could be permanent or Contract position - flexible If Full time employee Health Benefits Paid Vacation Nurse Practitioner: Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice registered nurses who provide high-quality, comprehensive, and patient-centered care, often acting as primary or specialty care providers. They possess the authority to diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses, interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications. Key duties include conducting physical exams, developing treatment plans, and focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. Key Responsibilities & Duties Patient Assessment: Taking detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations. Diagnosis and Treatment: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, lab work) and treating acute/chronic conditions like infections and injuries. Prescribing: Managing and prescribing medications and therapies. Counseling: Providing health education to patients and families regarding lifestyle, disease prevention, and wellness. Collaboration: Working independently or in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Required Skills and Qualifications Education: A Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing is required. Certification: Must be licensed as a registered nurse (RN) and certified by a national board (e.g., AANP, ANCC). Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for patient counseling and team collaboration. Critical Thinking: Ability to make fast, sound clinical decisions.
