REQUIREMENTS for Nurse Practitioner: CA Nurse Practitioner license Experience in elderly care, 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner in a geriatric setting/ working with the frail or elderly is required. Current active DEA license Essential Functions: Conducts physical exams, diagnostic tests, blood draws, EKGs, dressing changes, and other nursing interventions. Assesses patients' conditions, formulates treatment plans including prescriptions, and provides ongoing follow-up. Educates staff, participants, and caregivers on healthcare issues and treatments. Manages acute and long-term medical needs in collaboration with other providers, covering care in various settings including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Provides emotional and spiritual support, manages medical emergencies, and ensures timely, compliant documentation in medical records.
