We’re seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to join the team at the Ruidoso Public Health Office under the NM Department of Health.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active NM License as APRN or CNP (Required)
• 3–5 years of NP experience in primary care or diabetes care preferred
• Experience with American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations or IHS a plus
• BLS/ACLS certified
• DEA registration (preferred or willing to obtain)

You will work closely with the primary care program manager and public health support staff to provide comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, diagnosing, and managing chronic and acute conditions
• Performing physicals and preventive care services
• Prescribing medications, vaccinations, and therapies
• Leading and mentoring clinic nursing staff
• Collaborating with tribal health partners and community providers
• Participating in outreach events such as flu and vaccine clinics
