ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team, working with our Hospital Coordinators and VMOs in assisting with clinical issues that develop. This may include assisting recharting of patient’s medications, ward staff with procedures, PIV Cannulation, reviewing post-op and unwell patients, delivering staff education and acting as a resource for nursing staff.
The successful applicant will need to be a highly motivated person with strong clinical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills committed to providing the best patient outcomes.
Experience in acute surgical setting or HDU, Critical Care, ED or ICU is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • Must provide a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.

  • Current Nurse Practitioner registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and extended practice utilising evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated high level communication, liaison, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Evidence of a commitment to, and participation in, clinical and/or educational research and quality improvement
  • Understanding of Scope of Practice as determined by the DCS
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal professional development and a thorough understanding of current trends in healthcare practice, research and education with contribution to such on a local or national basis
