Serco is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our civilian health teams at Lavarack Health Centre in Townsville and Enoggera Health Centre in Brisbane, delivering high-quality care to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. Lavarack is full-time, Monday–Friday role (0730–1600) , Enoggera is part-time Monday and Tuesday (0730-1530) offer the opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary team while enjoying the Queensland lifestyle. As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll make a positive impact by: Leading patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care planning Managing relevant patient clinics as required (e.g. pre-admission and vaccination clinics) Prescribing medications and vaccinations, and ordering diagnostic tests Providing advanced clinical expertise and acting as a key decision-maker in care pathways Driving improvements in clinical practice, policies, and interdepartmental collaboration Contributing to quality assurance through audits, clinical reviews, and health surveillance initiatives To be successful in this role, you’ll have: A Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) qualification Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Endorsed Nurse Practitioner Recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner in general adult acute or primary healthcare environment (minimum 2 years in the last 5 years) Australian Citizenship (required to obtain Baseline Security Clearance) Note: You do not need to be enlisted in the ADF to work on-base. Lavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. It includes the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment. The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to approximately 8000 members Brisbane (Enoggera) – A vibrant city lifestyle with world-class dining, culture, and outdoor adventure on your doorstep. Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks.
