  Shenandoah Community Health is seeking a full‑time, experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient position working across school‑based health, the Ranson site, and the Martinsburg office. This role supports accessible, integrated care for children, adolescents, and families within clinical and school settings. Position Responsibilities The Family Nurse Practitioner will: * Provide primary care services (acute, chronic, and preventive) to pediatric and adolescent patients within the school‑based health program. * Deliver outpatient family practice care at the Ranson site as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Provide walk‑in care at the Martinsburg office when not assigned to school‑based health or Ranson. * Collaborate with school nurses, teachers, behavioral health staff, and SCH clinical team to support coordinated and integrated care. * Perform health assessments, develop care plans, and provide health education to students and families. * Manage documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with quality, compliance, and school‑based health standards. * Participate in population health, quality improvement, immunization, and outreach initiatives. * Work independently in the school environment while having strong support from SCH’s medical, behavioral health, nursing, and care coordination teams. Note: This position will not carry a primary care patient panel and is focused on episodic, acute, and school‑based care. Schedule * Full‑time: Five 8‑hour days (40 hours/week) * No weekends, no holidays * Workdays typically align with school hours for school‑based coverage * Time is divided between the Ranson health center, school sites, and the Martinsburg office depending on assignment and needs Qualifications Required: * Current West Virginia APRN license with Family Nurse Practitioner certification * Current or ability to obtain DEA * BLS/CPR certification * Experience providing care to pediatric and/or adolescent populations * Ability to practice independently in a school‑based setting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Preferred: * 1–2 years of primary care or community health experience * Experience working with underserved populations * Familiarity with school‑based health models or integrated care delivery Advantages of Working in Our Community Health Center Setting Include * Salary plus biannual incentive bonus compensation * Paid professional licenses & DEA fees * Occurrence‑based Federal Tort Claims Act professional liability coverage * Paid interview expenses & relocation assistance * Extensive support from social workers, care managers, health educators, interpreters, and outreach staff * Potential eligibility for loan repayment programs (NHSC or HRSA, if applicable) * Mission‑driven culture focused on improving access, equity, and community health outcomes   Located in the beautiful rolling hills of the northern Shenandoah Valley, only 80 miles from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, Martinsburg and surrounding Jefferson County communities offer vibrant arts, recreation, historic resources, and a growing population.
