Description Under the direction and responsible supervision of the assigned licensed physician(s) is responsible for providing high quality, comprehensive out-patient primary medical care services to United Medical Centers patients as determined and approved in the Delineation of Clinical Privileges and as per the rules and regulations established by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners, Medical Bylaws, and clinical guidelines approved by United Medical Centers. Responsible for demonstrating the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over a life span. Must be able to identify and categorize each patient's age-specific group of needs, such as those for female adolescents and adults. Responsible for compliance with other requirements affecting the Medical Center, such as State/Federal regulations TJC, DSHS, HRSA and PCMH Compliance standards. Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program and an Advanced Practice Nurse Program with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. 2. Current unrestricted Texas License issued by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to include Prescriptive Authority. 3. CPR certification required. ACLS certification preferred. Experience/Training: 1. At least one (1) year experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner. 2. Knowledge of basic principles of health promotion, prevention and motivation
